Positive Organization in Hong Kong
According to the “Hong Kong Employees Physical and Mental Health Survey” published by our company last year, over 30% of respondents are afraid of working and nearly 80% of respondents are unable to concentrate on their duties. The workplace should not be a place that triggers employees’ fear; instead, it should make them feel valued and accepted, allowing them to contribute according to their strengths. When employees adopt a positive mindset, their performance naturally improves, benefiting the company’s sustainable development.
Our company has referenced relevant positive organization research theories from international sources, including the “Oxford Handbook of Positive Organizational Scholarship,” to construct the “Positive Organizational Index (POI)”. This initiative encourages businesses to implement positive development strategies and measures across five key areas known as “PRIDE”, enhancing their sustainable development advantages and formulating effective positive organizational strategies. PRIDE refers to five dimensions including Positive Practice, Relationship Enhancement, Individual Attributes, Dynamic Leadership, and Emotional Well-being.
To assist organizations in understanding their positivity level, we are launching the survey on “Positive Organization in Hong Kong” and Award Scheme, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Economic Times as a media partner. This Award Scheme recognizes organizations which are committed to fostering a positive culture, thereby promoting positive social change. The Survey is now open for registration. Employers in Hong Kong are encouraged to have their employees complete the “Positive Organization in Hong Kong” survey on or before February 28, 2025. The Award Scheme is free of charge and any organizations which are rated by their employees with a high level of positivity will receive the “Positive Organization in Hong Kong” Award.
Details of the “Positive Organization in Hong Kong” Award Scheme
Participation Period: 15 November 2024 to 28 February 2025
Participation Method: Employers shall encourage employees to fill out the “Positive Organization in Hong Kong” survey to assess the positivity level of their organization. All employees in Hong Kong are welcome to participate to facilitate a more effective analysis of the development of positive organizations in Hong Kong.
